SYNAP is an established technology support and development company located in Midtown Manhattan. We are hosting an apprenticeship program designed to immerse qualified students in the world of designing and supporting Information Technology solutions for Real World clients. Our unique program gives you the training and opportunity to apply your skills and talent in real situations. Our program is an absolute necessity for those looking to impress future employers. 85% of those who successfully completed our program went on to jobs at high profile companies like Time Warner, and Bloomberg. What you’ll learn in this program can not be taught in a classroom. Every semester is a unique and different experience.

The SYNAP IT Apprenticeship Program is an intensive 12 week hands on training course. Apprentices will develop skills and knowledge of leading business firms through relevant work experience and training. Job opportunities are available for people who successfully complete the program.

The program requires a minimum of 20 hours a week consisting of 5 hours class time and 15 hours lab time.

The tuition for the program is $1,600 dollars, payable in full at the beginning of the program.  Applicants need to be qualified before being admitted into the program. Interested applicants should be pursuing a professional career in information technology, Computer Science, or related fields. School credit and scholarships are also available (depending upon your school policy and qualifications).

To qualify, Applicants are required to submit the resume and cover letter to apprentice@synapit.com. Qualified applicants will be selected and scheduled for a final interview with SYNAP’s Master Engineer before allowed to participant in the program.

The SYNAP IT Engineer Apprenticeship Program offers;

• 1 Class session a week with a master engineer and weekly instruction from the staff of qualified engineers at SYNAP.
• On-Site real world exercises with real customers.
• Weekly assignments and tasks
• Lab time and hardware to practice and complete assignments.

• System Standardization
• Custom Database Design
• Web Design & Deployment
• Web/Email Hosting Setup
• Domain & Active Directory Management & Configuration
• Security and Anti-Virus Solutions and Tactics
• Mac & PC Integration
• Disaster Prevention & Recovery Solutions

Upon successfully completing the program, Apprentices will receive:

1. A software support toolkit (valued at over $ 800)
2. A SYNAP Apprenticeship Completion Certificate with Grade and a recommendation letter.
3. Opportunity for future employment with SYNAP Corporation.
